iOS 10.3 & Tethered-Caching **Solved & Highly Useful!**
New feature which lists GarageBand downloadable content being supported. I've got the tethered-caching set up, but can't figure out how to serve up the content with GB. Anyone using this feature?

Solved! Note for this to work you'll need the Mac and iPhone/Pad updated to latest OS.
On the menu that comes up you should see a list of files similar to this:

If you use Garageband on Mac & ios this feature can save space. Should be a folder there called Music Creation where all Garageband downloadable content is stored. Since this is a native feature as of 10.3 Garageband on iOS should be able to open any of this content - it's effectively a built in Garageband Server - so you don't have to save the content on the iPad. As you can see mine is empty, as I don't have GB on my Mac. Hopefully someone will test this to confirm, and let us know what all can/can't be saved here.
On the same Menu is iTunes - which I notice has all the ipas of apps I've installed since 10.3 was active.
On the iOS Files Menu are the Device Backups - but also the iOS update Installers. If you happen to have a family of i-devices you can now download an app, or ios update installer once - then the rest of the devices you have will update from this file - this could be relevant if your bandwidth is limited since you only download the update once. Also - in my case it drastically increased the installation speed of the update - as the subsequent installs are now done without needing to reach and communicate with the Apple servers. I've yet to figure out if you can manage the cached ipas - but if you can, this would have interesting implications.
On the Photos Tab - Clicking it instantly displays all the photos and Videos on the iPad - you can add/delete etc your photos and videos from here - very nice!![](https://forum.audiob.us/uploads/editor/g3/d6kv4u2kbd7m.png)
This is about the only link I've seen about tethered-caching from Apple: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204675
