Quantiloop - no foot controller, use iPhone over Bluetooth?
I have Quantiloop and am trying to figure out how to best make use of it (and the 4 other loopers I have) without a foot controller and my guitar or synths. My issue with most of these is that I only have two hands and there can only be one app on screen at a time.
For example, when I am playing GeoSynth I want to be able to start and stop the loop. Quantiloop is not an AB destination so I can't use the usual AB transport controls. And I'm not sure how to do it with IAA.
I want to use my iPhone as a MIDI controller so that I can trigger events on the iPad. This is easy enough with Apollo and works remarkably well. But the keys and pads on Apollo are so tiny that I've started looking into configurable controllers starting with Thumbjam. That looks promising but I know there are a ton of fan-boys out there, but man is that app confusing especially on the small phone screen.
I think I'm basically looking to recreate 4 or 6 buttons on screen that can be either momentary switches or on/off just like a foot controller would do.
So, any suggestions? I did try searching but with all the AB3 news any search on MIDI is overwhelmed.

If you only want to feed one source into Quantiloop you can put it in the FX slot behind whatever you want to send into it. Then you can use the AB panel for quick switching.
The trouble seems to be that it doesn't use the regular transport controls. So with Loopy HD, for example, you get a circular icon that tells you where in the bar the metronome is and then when you press record it starts at the beginning. With quantiloop it only has an icon that quick switches.
It seems with this app I have to either quick switch, start the loop and then quick switch back to GeoShred or just abandon it and head back to Group The Loop or LoopyHD (at least until I get a foot pedal).
