Positive Grid General iOS Frustration [was "BIAS FX Crash at Launch"]
I installed the latest version of BIAS FX (1.5.3) on my iPad the other day, and now it crashes on launch. I've tried restarting my iPad to see if that fixes the problem; alas, it has not. It doesn't matter if I launch the app from AB, from AUM, or in standalone mode. I'm running the latest version of iOS (10.3.1) as well. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I've contacted Positive Grid support, but I'm curious if anyone here has seen the same.

I'm still on 10.2.1 (working fine) so interested to hear if 10.3.1 is an issue before I take the plunge.
Good to know. Are you using the latest version of BIAS FX?
Yep, 1.5.3.3172
Keep meaning to move to 10.3 to free up some space but the mandatory backup thing and my hatred of using iTunes on PC keeps delaying me.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I just got an email from Positive Grid support indicating there's a bug in 1.5.3:
"The workaround is to reinstall the app, then disable 'Stereo Mode' in the settings menu. But I recommend that you wait for the next update to avoid the risk of losing your presets."
Interestingly, Positive Grid just released X Drummer 1.0.1. I was on the beta for this, and the latest beta never worked for me. I've had problems with BIAS FX interacting with BIAS Amps and BIAS Pedal as well, not to mention the frustrations around logging into their Tone Cloud service. I feel like this is another case of app developers spreading themselves too thinly and pushing out poorly-tested products just to maximize quantity.
I gave up on Positive Grid years ago. Bias had so much potential but their business model is to market their apps as serious tools while supporting them as if they are toys.
No problems with bias fx on my ipads.one with ios 10.3,the other one with ios 9.3.5.
I'm 100% with mixolyd. PG managed to turn an ingenious start into a sh*tty product, sorry to say
It was around the time that they discontinued a relationship with a certain guitar player turned app developer that things started going downhill...I agree with those that said they have lost their way, final touch was indeed that.
Ta for taking one for the team, I will hold off on the iOS upgrade until they update.
I like using their stuff but the release of XDrummer (a.k.a. DrunkDrummer) is worrying regarding the quality of future developments.
@kgmessier I see version 1.5.4 is out, any improvement?
Yup! It works now.
Excellent, I'll finally get onto the 10.3 bandwagon and free up some space now.
