Yes they are definitely supposed to go in midi input. The audio ports are different. Not working for me either yet.

  • Here's hoping they update it soon. Modstep would be perfect to insert into ab3.

Swiss army knife of MIDI senders.

  • I'm fairly certain that the Modstep MIDI update is not yet officially released. What you're seeing there are some remnants of the beta version that have made it into the live App Store version. Please wait for the next ModStep update to use it with Audiobus.

  • Hi guys,
Yes, we are working on adding Midi support for Audiobus 3 and it should come soon. Just have a little patience :)

  • @Nerk oh boy, looking forward to that one :)

  • Look forward to that, hopefully state saving too :)

  • @Nerk I look forward to the beta :D

In the meantime: if you want to sequence your stuff with Modstep load Modstep in audio input slot, use core-midi to sequence other audio inputs...this gives you the AB3 control strip in Modstep, (and Link works). Set up a track in Modstep aimed at each of the instruments in your audio inputs in AB, assigning midi channels the usual Modstep way. You can still use the audio outs of Modstep to setup seperate chains, (if you want to send audio with modsteps onboard instruments, or loaded IAA, AUx)

  • Sweet, looking forward to feeding modstep midi into Cubasis.

  • We just uploaded the first beta of Modstep supporting Audiobus 3 MIDI and we hope to be able to release an update very soon!

I hope it's not considered too OT but as it concerns the same developer ...

Do the Studiomux MIDI ports show up in AB3 yet and if not is this planned?

    Thanks ^_^

  • Sweet! I really want to try feeding it / syncing it to Cubasis somehow.
