Studiomux and Logic (no midi ports)

I'm trying to use some ios synths in logic via studiomux. This works fine with apps that have IAAmidi (sunrizer, animoog in my case) - they behave exactly like AU plugins.

However, I can't get midi to some other apps (Galileo, Neo Soul Keys). According to the manual, the studiomux midi port would be the correct destination but it doesn't show up in Logic.

I did search the forum and in another thread it was mentioned that it works "most of the time". I however can't get it to work at all.

What am I missing?
