Trying to recreate this bass sound (Jamiroquai - Vitamin)
Awesome awesome track from their new album:

It might be a simple thing, but I'm a bit of a Luddite when it comes to fx on the bass. -I play pretty regular with my ~£100 bass guitar.
The effect has a buzzy electric'ness to it at the low low end, but higher notes have much less of the effect.
Can anyone advise particular apps or presets I could use to achieve this sound?
(I have ApeFilter and Filtatron now which I'm going to try later, but I only bought them earlier today and haven't given them a go yet).
But if there's any others like AmpKit or even Amplitube which can pull this off I'd be glad to hear any suggestions.
Thanks for reading guys!
Take care!

Link not working bro..
I think Saturn's Modern Synth Sand preset would get you close to this, with some tweaking. Worth trying some Volcano presets as well. Listened to the song on Youtube.
@theconnactic thanks for these suggestions. I wasn't sure what those were but they seem to be addon synths for Auria. I'd be willing to give them a go definitely but I'd like to see if i can find a cheaper option first! I'd they were ~£10 I'd more likely to purchase but I'm only really after this 1 effect.
@JangoMango i blame Spotify for that! ( I copied the link directly using it's share URL option). -although i can see now clicking it takes you to a dead place. Spotify!!
THINGS I'VE TRIED:
To my luddite ear, i would say the low-end is.. 'crushed'? I don't exactly know...

I just tried here, by adding a bass line from one of my songs and then applying the plug-ins: the Saturn presets sounded somewhat too aggressive, but two of the Vocano's presets sounded a lot closer: specifically, "Rawness 3" and "Rawness 4".
That seems to imply you're already on the right track: a filter is what you looking for, preferrably one that can produce distorted sounds. What about Turnado? I don't have it, but everyone say it's very powerful.
Thanks again for your advice, and for trying those things out. I will have a try with Turnado later, (until now i totally missed the part of the UI which has about 100 presets). So I'll have a go.
