Laplace: You dig it?

I think it is one of the cooler creative synth sounds on ios.

  • Let me elaborate on the purpose of this thread.

I am working on exporting a preset bank. Bank is complete.

IF someone wants to test the transfer and installation of my Laplace Custom Bank PM me.

  • Cool project, would do but I haven't picked this one up yet. Mersenne or Redshrike, however... :)

  • I've got this and Lorentz and love them in standalone, when I add them to a multi-app midi synth setup though they always seem to be out of tune with the others.

Hadn't noticed it sounding weird, can you play it into a tuner and check it?

Not sure if it's out of tune or set to a weird key, but never sounds right with other synths in the (for example) Fugue MIDI chain. I haven't used it for a while so will check again. They both seem to do this if I remember rightly.

Exactly the same issue I always have using Sunrizer synth.

  • Love Laplace. It has a very unique sound. No issues with sounding out of tune.

  • I did get a lot of use out of it at first. I am just so AU horny these days and I don't mean Sensual Sax.

  • Would be cool if the iceGear stuff went AU, but if I had to choose, I'd vote universal first. The two probably go somewhat hand in hand, as the UI would need reworking in either case. Wouldn't mind at all if he raised the price after going universal. Already have Redshrike and Mersenne, but would buy Laplace and Lorentz in a heartbeat if they went universal, especially if Mersenne went universal too :)

Lorentz is brilliant, one of my favourite synths in standalone.

Hmmm, I never used an iphone for music, aside from Audiobus Remote. Curious what sort of workflows people have, especially on the sequencing side.

All the IceGear synth stuff is first tier...including Cassini. The 3 resonator synths are very special

    @AudioGus
My iPhone stuff, aside from PixiTracker and Sunvox, is all about BM2. Have fooled around with AUM and AB3 lately, but haven't settled into anything yet with those 2

  • Ive got all of them and yeah it would be awesome to see them as au, even a trimmed down preset player only

  • I like all things Iceworks. Something about their interfaces that just click with me. Feels comfortable.

Yeah, the way Redshrike is laid out on iPhone is quite usable. If all his apps got that it would be so awesome, and if Redshrike got an all on one page for iPad too, well, I wouldn't complain ;)

Yes, the sound is unique, and musical. Sounds not totally real but still reminiscent of acoustic instruments.

  • I like all their synths

The dream is them getting the AU treatment
