ToneStack 3 updated
Good to see Audiobus 3 support

nice! thank you
I'm still confused about the difference between ToneStack 3 and ToneStack Go (I have read previous threads as well - maybe I'm just being daft).
isn't TS go the free trial version?
Is it safe?
Same app. GO is free and comes with only the most basic FX pedals and amps, like a "trial version". You can buy the IAPs from within GO, but check the prices on the full version first.
I absolutely love Tonestack...with some helpful hints on this forum from Flo, I've managed to get a guitar sound that I'm very happy with, and can record in Auria very easily.
My latest favorite sound is using it with a Univibe clone and Virsyn Bandshift...when using it in the Shift Only mode and using the XY pad to blend in small amounts of positive and negative shift, it creates a very Hendix-ish "House Burning Down" flange effect, almost like thru-zero flanging that you can control with your finger. You can also use it to harmonize various sections, and push note bends way beyond reason...super fun! Bandshift is a very cool tool!
If I don't hear of any problems, I'll probably try updating tonight. Fingers Crossed!
Ooo! I like the sound of that. Are you using IRs?
Ta very muchly.
Seems to be, just spent 30 minutes or so with it in AB3 in both input and output slots.
Still produces generic blues rock or experimental soundscape cobblers though, might have to ask for a refund ...
I had a crash on launch but it was okay after that.
Just had a weird one where the red "Tonestack Recording" banner wouldn't clear even though I closed everything down and swiped away.
Starting Tonestack and swiping it away cleared it.
TS was running in the output slot of the bus originally so not sure if it's an AB3 thing or TS.
Will test with other apps.
Could someone clarify what does it mean 'updated to Audiobus 3'? I saw no problem to use ToneStack with Audiobus 3 before. So what developers add to their apps to be 'updated' to Audiobus?
Well, for one thing, it auto launches now.
I have exact same thing with loopy. Holding power button and then holding home button trick clears it though.
I believe this is expected behavior for apps that are using the AB3 SDK. Those apps will launch in the background, so closing them out requires opening them the traditional way (i.e., by clicking on the app's icon) and swiping them away.
Closing them out requires ejecting them from AB3 prior to closing them the traditional way otherwise they will just get reloaded by AB3 as soon as you switch back to it.
OK, thanks, sort of makes sense but you have to remember what you've been opening?
I ask because I can go through many apps just trying to find the right combinations.
Ha! I think you're right. The only real solution in that case is a reboot.
ToneStack question. I'm playing around with the Memory Guy delay, trying to use it as a looper to solo against (play stuff from a synth into them with the "Trails" switch set to on, switch over to TS, turn off the delay input, go back to the synth and noodle around over the now-frozen delay loop).
I'm trying to find the exact point on the Feedback knob that results in infinite looping but without a gradual increase or decrease in volume. Seems like just a hair below 75% works for this? At 75% the frozen loop sloooowly gets louder, at 74.9% it seems to stay the same as long as I want.
On the Day Tripper delay, though, even at max feedback, when I freeze a loop the same way as above, it verrrry gradually loses volume.
Anyone used these for this? Tips?
