Anyone seen this? Tried it? Opinions?
I just saw it flashing past on FB, and couldn't find it in here when doing a search.

  • Here is the web site with a presentation: http://designbypaul.co.uk/

Oh, sorry. The forum search yielded no results at all (as opposed to its normal behaviour of returning everything ever written anywhere), as in completely empty. Perhaps he created the thread with the name misspelt or something?
You have a link to the other thread?

    No apology required!
I think it just had a demo video but no link as was a beta I think so this is more of an official thread, now it has a name and app store link :)

Seems strange to me that after all that effort of developing this, they would release it with AB2 support and no link in a performance app, it makes it need an update immediately :(

Totally agree.NO AB3 and Ableton LINK is weird for an app that looks quite interesting and seems to took quite a time to be developed. The info on the website looks btw very interesting. Weird that there's hardly any info about this app on the web...
Curious is there anybody on the list that has this app. Would like to read experiences.

  • Thanks for the info. It's looks like a kind of Turquoise .Synth automata is on sales , I was curious about it.

  • Well it works with AB remote, which AB3 doesn't....plus the AB3 sdk isn't being generally distributed to developers yet last I heard so he can't be blamed for that.

Link would be nice though and AB3 in due course.

Other than that it's an oddity it portrait only and iPad only which is annoying

You get 2 lead instruments one of which has 4 pads and the other has 3
You can set the pitch of each of those pads but there's no notes as such.

    You get 4 drums pads

    3 bass pads

    1 noise pad

    One Pad pad

There are synth settings for each of type of sound.

You also get 4 one bar loopers.

  • I got it. Bit of regret. Compared to others apps it's not so good

  • I'll pass.

I'm still waiting for the very necessary upgrades to his RS-08 8 Oscillator Ribbon Synth.

I guess I should of done a bit more research on the app before jumped in. To me it looked like it be fun.
Basically u hav 16 pads each pad is a sound u can slitley tweek so say a bass sound u can pitch it and filter. Wat got me was when it came to recording a loop. There doesn't seem to bee any kind of quantisation. Even my four to the floor kick sounded all over the place. The app really does feel lyk one of them toy dubstep apps u can get for free

  • Ah, haha, I now also see why the search revealed nothing: not once in that thread is the name written, only presented in images/video, which the forum doesn't pick up. :)
