Beathawk 2 expansion disappointment
So I bought funk and disco because hell yeah, however, I discovered to my dismay that the number of "presets" in the description does not really mean anything. I was hoping it meant instruments: not loops, not drum hits, instruments. So now I have a bunch of shit I don't want. Does anyone know if there's a way to find out how many instruments are in each pack? As in chromatically sampled, properly adsr ed, full range playable instruments?
Comments
You could read it in description for every pack.
it just says stuff like "funky guitars and other cool sounds" no mention if they are in the "instrument" category. I've read both tabs of the descriptions.
Check the specs homie
If it dont say Samples, itll be just loops and such.
Although it certainly is misleading for it to say instruments in description, are you by chance using it as AU or on iphone? If so you can also scroll down in all of the menus, it hides the bottom options
I have them all.
PM any kwestions preguntas for such info or review of the pack
doh. that is helpful. And points to the problem. In the Funk pack, if i go to the "instrument" category, i have nothing but two bass instruments. TWO. The specs page isn't helpful. What the hell constitutes a "Preset" then?
I just wanted more things in the category of "instrument" which is not included on specs page. does this makes sense people or am I going insane? I don't want the sounds in the form of loops or kits. I just want "instruments", so I'm trying to figure out which packs have the most of that specific category of sounds.
also how are the samples divided up? Lets say there is a pack that contains 72 samples. Does each note count as a sample? meaning I would get basically 3 instruments with a two octave range of proper sampling? Because thats some cleverly misleading advertising in that case.
I'm with you on this, the two packs you mentioned left much to be desired but the others have been so delightful that I just ignored these two.
I knew a very old lady once who told me that in all successful affairs one should, from time to time, overlook....
Does anyone know what West Coast Urban and Electro Pop have as playable instruments?
Electro pop doesn't seem to have any instruments
Thanks, @BiancaNeve. I'll save my money...
Choirs, acoustic piano and tutti orchestra are amaaaaazingly good.String ensemble is dredging me too.Im not fond of the guitar loops and factory presets on the other hand. Happy Easter in LaLaLand.I am the walrus goo goo d'joob .
Is there some way to get all the IAP’s at once for a discount, or in the alternative to have a consensus rating on the ones most well liked?
The OP raises a legitimate issue. Why can't Beathawk list the names of the playable instruments for each pack? Seems reasonable to me. They did it for the Mello pack, so why not electro pop (for example)? What are the instruments in that pack?

Thank you for this information, it's still valid and useful as UVI prefer not to elaborate on what is really contained in the packs. The summary page in the IAP may be sufficient for the Acoustic Piano but not for packs that contain different instruments.
When I saw the Instruments category I expected 70s Funk electric pianos, clavinets, string machines and a few beefy synth patches.
But two bass instruments?
