Comments
module is universal now. i love it.
just make sure you get the ipad version. the iphone one isnt universal. and doesnt have access to all the sounds.
Beathawk with IAP. Will warn you that AU layout on iPhone is a little jacked right now but dev is supposedly working on it. Lots of folks in the forum like the piano samples; search around and you'll find a thread on it.
iGrand is my current favorite. The Ivory expansion (2GB) for Korg Module is a close 2nd. Depends on the mix. The Pianos that come with Module are very nice too. The pianos in GarageBand aren't half bad too. Don't know about iPhone. Have only used iPad.
Module.
I must have missed something... Module is available as AU?
BeatHawk Piano so far is my preferred.
CMP Grande is a beauty, the Bechstein concert grand IAP is the best I've heard on iOS including the Module stuff. Colossus is probably even better but larger than I could fit on the phone...
awesome. i might give module
a test drive
My vote goes to CMP as well
Cmp? how is it on cpu consumption ?. i know even on my new iphone 7 plus. Ik grand audio gets crackling ever once in a white. is Cmp cool with that?
Maybe "Tines" (AU)
There was a Doug's soundtest room YouTube video comparing several grand piano' apps.If you strictly need an Au piano, you only have 3 choices : Cmp , colossus and Beathawk for the moment. Module isn't Au but benefits of all Korg's effects and can be loaded in Gadget.
I like beathawk the best out of AU or regular.
wow sounds nice
Here's Doug's video:

CMP Grand 4:36
Module Ivory Grand (IAP) 9:10
Module Natural Grand (included) 11:39
Also he did a video with Beathawk Acoustic Grand

Don't think he's done a demo of Colossus (same dev as CMP) yet
Just out, Doug's review of Colossus:

Korg Module gets my vote.
Crudbytes Colossus piano is dope and AU
Aren't these comparisons a bit like comparing flavors of ice cream? I mean, I love vanilla ice cream; some love chocolate...
If you want AU in GarageBand avoid Colossus:
