  • @Littlewoodg the matrix bit you have circled is to toggle between the first 16 beats to the last 16 beats of the 32 note matrix sequencer. Not sure why yours is all greyed out, here's my screenshot.

Didn't know you could set 32 beats...how do you do that?

Holy crap I just set it to 256 beats! I guess it's unlimited? I'm still a newbie. Only had this a week and a half so I'm learning too. Make sure nothing is running, select edit tool, select the matrix then adjust that first number in the first of those little boxes bottom right by using the +/- cursor.

You're welcome! Those boxes and some buttons appear to be context sensitive depending on which type instrument your editing. For the Matrix the first one incrementally increase/decreases 16 bar segments. If you're in File Player or File Player Touch Instrument mode it affects the audio sample length but only after you've changed the increment, exited edit mode then re-entered edit mode for that instrument. I have no idea yet what the 3 grey buttons do. lol!

  • @philowerx
The matrix lengthening method works the same in the dripum sampler instrument, adds bars there as well

Thanks, good to know! Little by little we'll crack this nut. Love Touch Loop Controller. It's a bit like VirSyn ReSlice.

  • I really want this app, but I couldn't bring myself to pay up the premium price for my needs. I almost bought it the last time it went on sale, but ended up declining.

I think this app would sell tons if it were at the $20 level, but maybe the developer would rather sell fewer units and have fewer tech support headaches than if he sold it at a level that would move it like hotcakes.

Might pick it up the next time it goes on sale, because it really is quite unique and impressive work... even if it's not something I'd use all the time.

Agreed, the price point definitely turns off the instant gratification crowd and that may indeed be a strategy. It's open ended and therefore quite complex.

  • @Littlewoodg You can also load movies directly from the Camera Roll to slots on the Launcher page.

  • Recommended app for converting batch audio files? Mine are all stored on AudioShare and I believe that only works one at a time

Got this one for this exact reason (converting Audiocopy store sample folders for use in Takete): The only bulk conversion app (for free) I know of is for laptop, https://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm
It's a free trial, (21 days) I just used it to batch convert 24bit samples to 16bit...solid

  • Nice thx

Pleasure is mine. After the recommendation I used it again today, loading more goods into Takete. The 4 core setting is freakishly fast.

  • Do the videos have a transparency or alpha channel? I can't figure this out :/

I'm not sure what those are...do you mean a monitor send, or?

  • No, not that. I don't claim to know what I'm talking about but... I'm wondering if there is a way to layer the video clips so that a text video can go over another scene, like a green screen effect.

It seems like there is some way to set this, I just can't figure it out.

Hey thats a cool idea, using titling-

One approach could be to layer video clips and title clips, using one of the "blend" algorithms included (add subtract multiply divide dodge and saturation)...you can use these to layer title cards over other image clips (for your title clips, probably best if using white or a colored letters on black background).

  • Suggest everyone watch all the vids on the website! Learned several features that I didn't know it had like being able to split the screen with two parts of the app. My only gripes so far are the random crashes and that you have to import everything into the app causing me to maintain multiple copies of files

Agreed: there are many decisive nuggets in the documentation on the website and in the YouTube stuff...I've looked through everything at least 3 times and continue to find key stuff

  • I love this app, I wish it would rise as Christ from the dead. Thanks @BiancaNeve for letting me know about this beautiful app corpse.

You want it to turn in to a character from a book, weird.

  • Takete 2.0 now in app store

  • since it is on sale I'm on the fence. Does Takete works only with samples imported and manipulated? I have pratically zero samples on my Ipad and everytime I try to create some thing I get frustrated buy my workflow: recording, chopping, saving, importing etc...
Anyone can help me out, because neither watching youtube videos nor playing with version have solved my dilemma:-)

You can sample into it via AB3 if that helps. Also if you want to load sample collections (bought or living in other apps) Takete has Files support

Ok thx. Do You think that the app a worth the discounted price? Is the learning curve high?

Gee, I don't know anything about this. Looks interesting but I'm not sure if I need another mountain to climb. Anyone have examples of what they've done with it? Thx.
