Comments

  • $€399 is just ridiculous. I'll have one of those please.

  • Looks very nice. It'd be interesting to put this side by side, head to head against the Novation Peak (which is of course, poly, and this Model D isn't (I presume)).

Yea well they are totally different beasts. One is a clone of vintage synth and one has digital oscillators and all sorts of other moderns candies. Peak will obviously shine where D doesent, and im sure it also does nice leads and basses as well(which is what D is more aimed towards), but its not going to sound exactly like D, and some people want exact sound of the minimoog d. Peak seems tempting, but i will quite likely buy D(unless im able to sell some stuff and get sub37). I already have loads of digital synths on ios, and digital hardware synth that i can run through minibrutes filter and guitar amp, and throught the model D's filters(if i get one), so for me D would be obvious buy over peak. But then again if behringer fails to make exact clone of the minimoog(or something close, but equally good and deep sounding), i wouldnt get it. But damn peak sounded good on those demos i watched.

  • Tom from Synth Anatomy has posted this video, with a somewhat better sound quality
