i tried Linking up my iphone and ipad today and no luck. Tried everything. They were on same wifi network, airplane mode off, i tried a full restart of each device. Tried launching a variety of apps in different steps - Aum, Figure, TF8, Blocs, Gadget. I checked and rechecked but nothing worked... Any thoughts? Do the devices need to be on the same ios version? I didn't think so... I'm sure it's worked for me since my phone has gone to 10 and my ipad still on 9.3.

were you using a mobile hotspot ? it sometimes doesn't work that way. or sometimes the router is the problem. reset the router and try again. my ipad3 on 9.3.5 and my ipad air2 on 10.3.1 link up with no issue. just shut down and restart both devices as well.
