My new video, "Chopin on Guitar"!!!
https://goo.gl/TNmKC7 - Bought new strings for my old guitar. Then played Chopin on it!
Here's my rendition of Frédéric Chopin's Prelude in Cm (Op. 28, No. 20): I played this wonderful, sad piece with my old guitar, and you haven't seen it for a while, because its "A" string was broken, and I kept forgetting to buy new strings for it until today.
Most guitar versions I heard (also based on the same Tárrega arrangement as my own version, which is a semitone above the original piano score) are played almost in an "Adagio" tempo; I stuck to the original "Largo", slow tempo.
Oh, and I played it in my living room for a change, and this time used only one camera (my iPad Pro''s) to shoot the whole video (and edited it afterwards to keep it more interesting) .

Quality. I'm even going to nick bit of repertoire that for my electric bass performance!
Great piece
Loved it, one of my favourite piano pieces - I will be trying to decipher your fingering for those chords!!
Excellent!
Where did you get the arrangement from for guitar?
Just beautiful, Dimitri. I'd love to hear you do more preludes. Anything planned for the near future? Op. 28, No. 15 could be nice.
Thank you! Post your electric bass performance when it's ready: looking forward to hear that!
Thank you!
One of my favorite as well! Thank you!
It's the Tárrega trascription in C#: you can probably find it on the internet rather easily. I made a couple of changes, though: the second chord became a F#m7 instead of F#m - because it's a Fm7 in the original - and the ending C# note just before the final chord became an octave. Thank you!
I was thinking about the Nocturne No. 2, but the Op. 28 No. 15 is a good candidate indeed. Thank you!
Great stuff
Me likey.
Thank you!
Thank you!
ooo, very nice! would love to hear Ballades 1 and 3 and his Mazurkas on the guitar. And maybe a Polonaise (Ab)
Perhaps, perhaps! Thank you!
