Weird. Not anymore, i deletd amd reinstalled and no warnings. Must have been some other app i was thinking of.

I had assumed Samplr was 32bit as well but when I installed it on my relatively new air2 never got the warning. Hence why I was fairly certain it was 64bit :)

PLEASE still work on my iPad3! Don't shut me out like so many others! Puuuuuuullllleeeeeezzzzzzzeeeeeee!

the next update has to be 64bit since apple doesnt allow 32bit releases anymore. so sadly the ipad3 will be abandoned :/

    NOOOOOOOOOooooooooOooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! SO NOT COOL!!!

I don't think Apple have said that apps have to be 64bit only, just that they have to be 64bit. It is possible to package an app with both 32bit and 64bit binaries. In fact I think most are done this way right now. Apple also has a way of slicing those up, so the unnecessary bits aren't distributed to a particular device, so I don't think they'll tell developers they can't support 32bit. So, I'm telling you there's a chance :)

I love you for saying this.

Help me Marcos Alonsobi Wan, you're my only hope.

Apple may have removed the nag screen in more recent iOS updates. What I do know is the latest iOS has a way to check for 32bit only apps.
    Go to:
    Settings > General > About > Applications
There will be a list of apps that aren't going to make the jump to hyperspace

Yep. And Samplr is not in that list, hence why I'm pretty sure it's 64bit.

I played a gig with Samplr synced to loopy last night. No problems whatsoever using arps and rhythmical bits. No link, no problem.

Great, hope Sector gets Link also..

Sector last update was: Jul 09, 2015. LINK was promised by the dev @j_liljedahl in December 2015. Looks he isn't interested in the app anymore and puts all his energy in AUM. Got the impression it is abandonware... :(

Sector works flawlessly and is fully Link integrated via AUM's IAA sync. I'm not aware of any serious bugs in Sector?

Nice, but if you do not have AUM but some apps that do have LINK and you want to use them on seperate devices you have a problem. Besides that AUM is not really the cheapest app in town.

Fair enough. I always assume everyone has it.

  • At this point I think anyone that wants to do more advanced mixing owns AUM. Audiobus vanilla is sorely lacking for the types of audio mangling I like to do. The fact that even Aux get tempo from AUM is just icing on an already delicious cake.

I was going to say "I can't imagine iOS music without AUM", but I'm going to revise that to "I can't imagine life without AUM".

  • If only AUM recorded Midi, it would be awesome for the iPhone.

I'm still waiting for a really simple midi recorder on iPhone. I want aleph looper to be that solution but it's just not for me. I want loopy or looperverse simple for recording midi.

I'm just connecting multiple (macOS + iOS) devices through LINK (for sync) so I can control the apps running directly without all kind of (complex) screen switches. So no need for AUM.

I haven't abandoned Sector. If there are problems and issues, I try to fix it and update my apps as soon as possible. The reason it hasn't been updated for long is because it has worked so well as it is :)

I'd love to add new features to most of my apps, but as you know those would be made "for free". In some cases it makes sense, but not always. I have to prioritize and plan with my available time, and then new features for free doesn't come at the top of the list..

However, I still mean to implement all things that I have "promised" (it's no contract, it's just me communicating my intentions), like Link in SECTOR, AUv3 plugins for AUFX, even more AUFX apps, waveform editors and MIDI sequencers, etc..

  • Look forward to all that especially a Kymatica midi sequencer :)

    Why ?
You make good usable products, charge for the updates, IAP maybe ?
It is not unreasonable to charge for wanted new features.

    +1

I don't think most people would mind paying for an Ableton Link update...

  • Some people think IAPs are ok, some do not. Personally, I don't really like them..

Ok, that explain why so many great apps did not get the LINK treatment 'yet'...

Then maybe suffix pro after the name of the enhanced version might be more desirable?
