OT Reason 9.5 with VST support is available now! :)

The new Reason 9.5 update to be released at the end of May will support VST plugins.

    I was wondering that too. Shame it doesn't support AU plugins though.

    It's ALL VSTs, Reason searches for your VSTs then uses a Rack Extention to house the VST from the RE you can access all your VST paremeters, kind of like FLs Wrapper. This really is super huge for Reason users, this really is the final thing that Reason really needed, I reckon the Props are going see massive increases in new users now.

    Almost as big is that 9.5 has plugin delay compensation!!! PDC finally in Reason is a big deal.

    Now if they add clip launching they finally got something.... I kid, I love it already even without the vst's. But clip launching would be good.

    I reckon some of them will be annoyed, but you could always use your VSTs with Reason it was just a pain getting them in there. And dont forget you won't be able to flip behind the actual VST and start hooking everything up like you can with a normal RE

    But it would be the only DAW yet i would consider as a second DAW beside Logic then.
    So what if the planned iOS Reason would be the same. I doubt it.
    However it would be great if they would make really multi-touch friendly for windows 10.

    With VST support, I'm now considering buying Korg Gadget for Mac as well. It's also on sale for another month. :)

    I downloaded the free 30 day trial of Reason 9.5 which has all the features including save on the full version. So far I am impressed. The vst plugins works well on Reason. I was a Reason user for years and it was my favourite and I made a lot of tunes on it but now I find the GUI too cluttered on the newer versions and less intuitive which is why I moved to Ableton Live. However, the VST plugin support is a welcome addition but 15 years too late.
