Blocs Wave loads on startup
I've noticed recently that a 'Good evening...' message from Blocs appears at the bottom of my Air2 screen when switching apps. I thought this was related to headphones being plugged in, but appears when they're not as well. If I open Blocs, then quit it disappears, but turns up again at the next boot up.
Anyone else noticed this, or know why it does it?

I think this is Siri:)
Ahhhh....I'll check that. I usually switch that off but pesky Monzo jnr switches it on again!
Pesky. Perfect epithet for our beloved offspring....
Ahh. If that were the only one that came to mind with a teenage daughter, how happy I would be!
No, Siri is switched off, and now Blocs is wishing me a 'Good evening...'. Polite, but annoying fucker.
They DO grow up fast ... It's a roller-coaster alright.
Moody bastards, the teenage daughters that is
I've not noticed this with blocs, but have noticed midi port hanging round from gadget, minisynth most recently but others as well......perhaps not a blocs related issue, I've gone against my principles as a developer and it manager and changed everything rather than one thing at a time...iOS update, all latest release version of apps......that being said, it is still playing what I left playing perfectly while I am typing this. That is the real magic of iOS.
I guess a lot of us are doing this at the moment.....
Just use the kill ghost apps trick.
check and see. All the suspicious ports will have vanished.
Press the power button till slide to turn off comes. Then press and hold home button till it kicks you back to the home screen. This kills all zombie apps. I do this before and after any music sessions I have
This has not worked for me since upgrading to IOS 10. Or rather than just returning to home screen my iDevices performs a reboot. Solutions anyone, or is it just me?
Mate, did you turn off notifications only for Blocs yet? I'd give that a shot first.
Yeah, everything's turned off.
Hey @MonzoPro, this actually isn't us. It is apples recommendation service inside of iOS. If you tend to use an app frequently, iOS well recommend that app to you to load. My guess is that this appears when you press the round 'home' button on your iOS device, and probably appears at the bottom of the screen.Attached shows my iOS device recommending me Safari. I hope this helps.
Ah ok, that sounds like the answer. Thanks for the explanation.
It works perfectly here. iOS 10.3.1 air2. Keep in mind as usual I wiped my device and restored from the backup. Doing major os upgrades on a device itself regardless IOS or Android always has a 10% chance of things going wierd. I bricked an iPod touch once. And an Android phone too. So I just wipe and restore now.
You have to let go of the power button and then hold the home button. If you keep holding the power button while also holding the home button you'll force reboot your device instead of just clearing the memory
oh yes this. you have to release the power button after the slide to hold comes up. just press and hold the home button at that point.
@gonekrazy3000 & @jn2002dk![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Fantastic. That was the problem. This detail about release the powerbotton is new with IOS 10, right? Anyway, thanks a LOT guys!
Yup, i think it is because i remember rebooting by accident several times and i think it coincided with ios 10
Hehe, Elastic Drums had been extra friendly lately.
Nope. It's always been that way. If you hold down both of them until it reboots, that's supposedly a deeper reboot than a power-off and back on.
Clear ghost apps is my best friend, and I'm convinced is the reason I seem to experience so many fewer weird things happening with my music apps than others do.
Hey. Appreciate the response. Good stuff. Customer relations aren't only about updates and pie etc.
