I accidentally deleted Audioshare and to my surprise...
What do you boffins know about Audioshares database? I accidentally deleted the app and about had a heart attack since all my work is basically in it.
I resigned myself to downloading the app again and starting over...
however, I was pleasantly surprised to find all my files "there" after reinstalling.
If AUM shares or has access to the same recordings is it a separate but shared database?
I'm EXTREMELY relieved regardless of how it operates. (Whew)

It's easy to slag iCloud backup but it's pretty effing sweet in moments just like this. Also easy to tease Apple for the "it just works" nonsense when it doesn't. But when it does, it sometimes works so well that you didn't even know it was working the whole time. Glad you got your stuff back.
@syrupcore I just checked my iCloud account after your comment. I didn't have it backed up there.
Cool. I'm happy to just assume J Lilla magic. It's a thing.
@syrupcore AUM was still installed so I figured it still had my work, but yes magic!
pretty sure that if either AUM or Audioshare is installed the files remain on your device. you have their shared database to thank for that![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
it's not unusual that deleting or uninstalling a software doesn't affect user data.
(most PC stuff works that way)
Probably it's the reason for gain of free space when updating IOS, as in that case 'parentless' folders may get wiped out.
Not sure this is the same on iOS. Everything is stored within a file associated with the app which gets deleted when you delete the app.
Audioshare uses the Apple document picker to store the files. The files are not stored in Audioshare (s document folder) but somewhere hidden in the OS.Thats the reason why you can access your audioshare files/folders if anotother app supports audioshare .But you can't access these files anymore if you connect your device to PC and use ifunbox etc (and open the audioshare document folder). You have to copy/move every file to audioshares "itunes sharing"folder to access them with an external computer.
That explains why AudioShare shows like 10 megs when it should be showing about 20 gigs with what I actually have stored in the app. I really thought it was magic.
