KRFT and Infinite Looper! Still the Best on iPhone IMHO
Been recording lots of loops as audio in Looperverse but decided to do more midi instead as files will definitely fill my phone sooner than later.
So went back to KRFT and Inf Looper and wow! Amazing apps Highly Recommend these apps!!
One request: @SecretBaseDesign
- Could Inf Looper one day have an option to go regular timeline view sort of like Looperverse?
As a guitar player for some odd reason that view clicks with me more and that's why I keep going to Looperverse. But I want to record midi instead, so wondered if you could create an identical app as Inf Looper but with the ability to view the loops in a regular timeline style as Looperverse.
I would gladly buy it in an Instant.
KRFT is also my current go to app for midi looping! As it's super easy to use and great fun!
Two great apps I highly recommend!!

I just have never gotten this app. I've tried and tried, turning it on many times since my purchase a few months ago and it just isn't clicking as a looper. I'm a guitarist too and Loopy is what I keep going back to. I'm happy to be converted though!
personally I love the slot machine layout. But for some reason I don't use this very much. I wish I knew why
Don't know but Aleph Looper the same and is half the price and it's by the same dev
Same experience here. And I'm a big fan of Patrick's apps and thought this one would be the companion to Loopy when he first described it... And yet, I find it impenetrable for some reason.
I can get a few loops going and stuff but rapidly get annoyed at the slot machine layout wishing for something like Looperverse style which fits nicely on my iPhone SE. Really wish the optional view could be done even as an IAP purchase. Would buy it instantly.
But this is all I currently have on the iPhone that will loop at various lengths that also acts as a host.
I think KRFT will eventually provide for many many needs.
Totally forgot to say KRFT also. Just wish KRFT had a built in keyboard like the one Inf Looper has. But yeah forgot I'm actually recording midi in it

If @Alex fox gets to MIDI in with KRFT it'll be just the ticket!
I've been using IL again, happily, except that the midi mapping seems contradicted. Like, you can map the play and record to a controller, but it seems you still need to physically touch the clip to truly enable recording. Hopefully I'm missing something.
Dag dudes, i have reinstalled midisteps, same thing. Genome, lo mismo. Surely there is a midi sequencer out there that you can play, record, erase, away from the app. Midisteps seems so close and awesome with being able to switch patterns, channels, and even clear steps. Even "no record" is mappable, but what about record?
Is Midisteps iPhone or iPad only?
I am mystified why this doesn't exist. Maybe it isn't as simple as it seems?
I'm on ipad, not sure if it is universal.
I had similar thoughts.
Yeaup well, reinstalled modstep after about a year and they finally fixed a particular bug that was making it useless for me. So with MS all that stuff I mentioned is mappable, but i need to switch midi channels from my qunexus everytime i want to play/record a different instrument. On the Q that involves a minimum of 3 keypresses with the first keypress having to be held down for a second or two. Buzz kill.
After playing with midisteps some more i'm really pleased. I discovered that it's much like infinite looper with regards to switching instruments inside the app itself. Globally, it listens to qunexus on one midi channel, but only the selected channel triggers (which is also mappable). It's only the step record which is mappable, not keyboard record, but i can get acclimated to that with time, kinda like i did with the op1. But programming trouble maker is a dream with midisteps! What made me ditch midisteps in the past was the big resolution nature of steppy cc changes, but i also didn't have midi lfo back then.
Yeah it's annoying!! I was so excited testing out Infinite Looper on the iPad, and then when I tried setting it up with my MIDI foot pedal I got my hopes crushed.. So until the MIDI bindings are updated (which Secret Base Design say are on the way eventually) IL is just sitting unused taking up space on my iPad.![:'( :'(](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/cry.png)
