Collaborators: What methodologies and technologies are you using?
I use Linux on my desktop, and my iphone for everything else. For me, cross-platform compatibility is essential. I already have and use txt/email/phone, Dropbox, Google Drive, Skype and audio stems. I just discovered Soundtrap, which looks pretty cool and checks all the boxes and may very well be THE collaboration platform for me. (Others I've looked carefully at are: AudioTool, Soundation, Bandlab, and SkyTracks.io). There are probably 50-100 sites/services available--some of which do much, much more, but don't have the desired compatibility (ie Kompoz, Splice, OhmStudio, etc).
I'm just curious, what methodologies and technologies are YOU using? What has been your experiences?

In my collaborations (all with top-notch AB forum members), we've just used simple stuff like dropbox for sharing wav files, and importing into the DAW of choice. If adding to someone's work, I I would just export my individual audio tracks and upload to Dropbox and share from there.
I've looked into some of the collab platforms but haven't see anything yet that grabbed my attention. I'll have a look at Soundtrap though.
curious to know how Soundtrap works for you
Anyone want to download the app and do a little experimenting with Soundtrap with me? There is a 15 day premium subscription trial before it drops to the basic level. That should be enough time to get a good idea of what it can do!
We need a couple of volunteers to take one for the team with me!![ ](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smiley.png)
It doesn't matter whether you use Linux, Windows, OSX, Chrome, iPad, iPhone, or Android -- it works with everything!![ ](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smiley.png)

Thanks for the list in the OP. I'll have to check them out.
Another one that comes to mind is http://www.ccmixter.org
Notetracks has some nice collab features - write notes, divvy up the wave into sections (verse/bridge/chorus), etc.
Well, this was disappointing...
I wonder if this stuff is really necessary.... Maybe audio stems are best....
