AB3 release, all been waiting for it, Comes along....silence from the AB3 team......if this was retronyms we would crucify them.....

I'm not sure I understand that entire missive (seems a bit "drinky") but I would like to know the state of things and when the public SDK might go public. I've been too busy playing with the new midi toys in my stocking to notice what's still missing under the tree.
@AndyPlankton there's betas going on. Stuff getting fixed in both Aum and Audiobus. Aum even receiving new features and pretty rock solid Ab3 integration. If you wanna see improvements ask either dev to get into the beta. Mind you sometimes stuff breaks in the betas.
The problem with AB is that it relies a lot on devs responsiveness. With so many apps running different sdks and implementing things in different ways (i.e. Midi) there was no way for it to all work right away. We are effectively all beta testing right now. There's probably no other way of doing it.
I do understand your frustration though.
AB 3 is a truly amazing innovation with breathtaking possibilities. I'm more excited about the first big update than I was about the launch.
I'm waiting patiently for the SDK to become available to developers.

I get how difficult co ordinating mass change is......software development is my day job.
I have paid for products that for me are not working.....state saving in the midiflow stuff for example.....I have been told by @johannesd that fixes are waiting for the next ab3 update....fair enough, at least I know...
@j_liljedahl has said that aum update is waiting for AB3 update....again, fair enough....
My point is that there has been absolutely no communication on these issues and hold ups from AB team, no acknowledgement that there are issues and they are being worked on....
In the mean time I have spent money on things that I cannot use as described.
With AB3 itself being an SDK for the devs, any issues in that SDK will very quickly spread across all apps using that SDK.....is this the reason it hasn't been distributed to more devs?
I have a very uneasy feeling that my iOS music making is going to be buggy for the foreseeable future as some apps already use AB3 SDK and more will follow. That feeling is not caused by the issues, but by the silence on the issues....
I am sure that @Sebastian and the team ARE working hard to solve whatever is causing problems and that they want to get the SDK out to as many devs as they can, but not before it works properly....that is fine and absolutely the right thing to do, But please as a paying customer, let me know that this IS what is happening and do not leave me to guess/worry about whether my stuff will work in the future, thoughts like, will I have to avoid app updates if they include AB3 update ? This all results in posts like the one I opened this thread with.
