Update on Werkbench Update: It's Werking!
Karl at Bolasol says the update is "basically done, but unskinned".
I didn't want to bug him for specifics on features/optimizations etc., but it sounds like there may not be too much longer to wait.

Exciting news! Werkbench is to this day one of my favorite apps for the ipad. Sampling without the tedium.

Yes look forward to see what's new here. I like it but the interface has always held me back from getting stuck in for long.
I only bought it in the.1st place BECAUSE of the steam punk GUI. Then they flattened it and just made it ugly neither fish nor fowl.

I definitely like the new look better than the old. If someone is looking for a balance of opinions. I like clean and simple so this was a step towards that.
Um, this is petty, but... the icon? Could they get rid of the bare ass guy shouting or puking through the megaphone? Just a simple "werk" would do.
This app is one of those apps that brings the magic and wonder of sampling out on the quick. No file names, no truncating... just sample and go. It's restrictive but in fun (to me) ways. Though I'd like more pattern slots and a transpose UI that doesn't require you to sweep through steps (use the key selecting keyboard for one touch transpose).
