BeatHawk AU/iOS issue

Anyone else seen this issue?

I am recording 3 or 4 instances of BeatHawk as an AU in Cubasis 2 on iPad Air 2 iOS 10.3 and all appears to go well for a while and then suddenly I get no sound at all from any BeatHawk tracks. When I look at the AU is see the error in the screen attached but I am unable to recitify the problem unless I change the Beathawks to e.g. microsonic acoustic piano or exit Cubasis and reload the project.

The BeatHawk Grand Piano sounds so good but currently I will have to use a different one it seems.

Comments

  • Beathawk is a 'memory hog' so it may be a better idea to record or freeze the tracks one by one...

  • OK, thanks for the suggestion @Samu . I would have thought I could have got 3 very short tracks done on an Air 2 and nothing else running without running into problems. Unless the BH Grand Piano is actually loaded into memory for each AU instance of it?

I'm guessing it is since they're separate entities

Generally, i've switched from mostly midi to freezing/bouncing whenever possible on iOS. On the plus side, that forces me to commit to sounds instead of tweaking endlessly

  • Keep in mind there are known issues with AU BeatHawk, UVI has committed to fixing them.

I'd bounce loops made in Beathawk (and elsewhere) and import them into Cubasis.

  • Ive been havinggn issues with Bh au as well. I get a nasty noise when trying to record a riff in one instance of BH au in AUM. Press rrcord button and instead of count in beeps i get a jarring constant buzz
