@Lppier Thanks again for another great update. i'm not quite sure if I understand how the scale is working with The Arpeggiator now. With the scale set to a D minor and loading up an arpeggiator preset, shouldn't the arpeggiator come in as D minor. And if I hit the dice for notes I usually get mostly C's & G's, no matter which arpeggiator I'm in.
Hi @RJB, the scale currently has no correlation with the arpeggiator settings.
If you hit the arpeggiator dice, it randomly generates notes that are close to an arpeggio (in a musical sense, triads). Which is why you are seeing many C and Gs. I have tried random chromatic, and it doesn't sound that great.
C on the knob denotes the root note of whichever note (button) you pushed.
Meaning if you set the key to D, the C is actually the D note aurally.
Finally, the "forward diatonic" mode acts like a "filter" that transforms the notes that fall outside the diatonic scale.
For example, say you are in the key of C.
Diatonic chords are
C, Dm, Em, F, G, Am, Bm7b5
So if you pushed "C", the notes that are playing will be modified to tend towards a C chord tonality.
If you pushed "A", the notes that are playing will be modified to tend towards a Am chord tonality.
You can test this by switching between forward and forward diatonic modes.
In pure forward mode, if you pushed "A" the notes that are playing tend towards a A chord tonality.
