Thanks! Interesting looking sequencer. Don't immediately need it but based on this I'd probably think about it if it either went on sale or went universal.
Just a quick request (to every and all iOS video makers). Would it be possible to include "First Impression" in the title or description of videos which are a first impression.
There are soooo many videos on YouTube of people just describing the interface of new apps, immediately after downloading them. No problem with those kinds of videos (and I know you mentioned it immediately at the beginning of the video which is appreciated) but it's better to know what content you're going to get in advance.
@OscarSouth thanks for the suggestion and that is a great idea about putting first impressions in title.
The developer did say that ableton link is on his todo list.
FWIW, while appreciating your effort and enthusiasm, I would MUCH prefer to see your review after you've had an app for a few days. Also, more of the app ctually doing something interesting as opposed to talking about it.
I disagree. I very much like Mitch's approach and prefer if over most of the alternatives.
His approach as "first impression" and going through the whole app with explanation is much better than those that just poke around with exclamation of how much they love the app.
Mitch's approach is informative, to the point, and shows me what I want to know before buying.
There's a place for many types of demos for different kinds of users, but for pre-purchase demos, I think the audiodabbler is one of the best right now.
I never get the impression that he's just a shill for the dev, but just a good neutral walk-through showing me what I need to see in order to make a buying decision.
@Zen210507 I do try to include some examples of the app doing something as well as blabbing about it. When I am looking to buy an app, there are certain things I like to see so I try and include those in demos of apps I do. But just like there are a million youtubers out there, each bringing something a little different to the table with their approach. After I have the app for a while, I will do a more in-depth video or try to do something different with the app that I have not seen.
@skiphunt Thanks for those kind words. I am not a shill at all for any developer. I try to give people a good balanced review so they can make an informed decision.
I do get codes from developers from time to time. With this app, it was not on my radar to purchase at all but after playing with it for just a few minutes, I had to share because I do think it is a really cool app. Further exploration is needed with it but it was fairly intuitive to just get something easy going.
Yes, I have no doubt as to your genuineness. And your approach is like a trademark. I just prefer it when you are able to reveal the kind of detail that is only discovered with more use. That kind of thing is what would encourage me to buy. Keep up the good work!
