Sync external etc with midi clock and recording with Behringer uca222 ios 10 bug

Sorry for the long, boring title but I think I found a but with ios10 and wondered if anyone can confirm it.

Ive been using Cubasis to record an external groovebox (rs7000) using my m-audio midisport to send midi clock and recording the input from a behringer uca222. The soundcard and the midi adapter are plugged into a power usb hub. The ipad is an air2 on ios 10.3.1.

It all starts ok but after about 40s the sound goes into a 1 second loop and the only way to clear it is restart Cubasis. I would have logged this with cubasis (only) but it happens in auria aswell. Ive tried various hubs, various ccks, and midi adapters but get the same result.

I know it works on my ipad mini using 9.3.5 so i guess it must be an ios10 issue. Noone else seems to have mentioned this however. Can anyone confirm denigh? I love those little behringer ucas and Ive got another ordered in the post to route effects. It would be a shame if I cant use it like this.

Some irregularities here too, @Richtowns thought it was the age/treatment of the device. The loop is occurring over the chinch inputs with lower latencies especially, also it reverts to mono sometimes, am unplugging often ...
