  • Always liked your videos and smooth vibe, and this app it's a brilliant piece of work.
So... didn't you mean Praia da Rocha on the YouTube description? If you did, that means you're at my childhood beach. Cool. And my country. Better yet. If not, then I'm sure your cool anyway.

  • Sorry for my awful spelling!! Yes I am here on my hols, on the beach at the moment, I'll edit the title when I get some signal!!

  • Spent some time in Portugal several years ago. Loved it! Dug hangin' out in Lisboa sippin' ginjinha. Great Port sampling along the river in Porto with great architecture. Old part of Tavira was cool. Good memories of that country. :)

  • Hey welcome anytime. Ninja, the beach is better than the pool, and be careful with the sun, don't ruin your holidays.
Skip, I'm a "Tripeiro" (a local from Porto) and live in Porto and you were in ribeira (near the river and the Eifel's bridge). Those are the places of my life. And the river is called Douro. Like made of gold... come back and be my guest. I'll show you the way around the tourists ways.
For anyone interested, our national flight company offers a very special product for those who usually fly over Portugal without even noticing it to other European destinations. Something like, you're going to Paris or Rome but, if you make a stop in Portugal for a couple of days or so you get some crazy discounts.
    My 2 cents.

  • Of course Ninja, if you're planing coming up north you have to come to Porto and you're equally welcome.

Might take you up on that one day :) One of my personal favorite images I've shot ever... was after waay too much Port tasting along the Douro in Porto, getting lost and trying to slowly find my way back to the hotel. ;)

That, sir, is an awesome pic - works on so many levels. Thanks for sharing

  • Yes, that's home. We have been doing some great recovering on the old buildings so everything ( almost )is shining. Come and watch some of that in the flesh.

  • @eustressor thanks :) @Viriato as I recall, Porto didn't really need any shining up. The patina of the light there made everything have this soft tawny glow. Unless, that was just a side effect of sipping the fine vintage Port.

Sorry for the hi-jack. The mention of Portugal brought back a pleasant memory.

Another delightful KRFT jam @KlaatuNinja :)

Hey no problem, it just shows you, we are all from different places and backgrounds but this community brings us all together and shows we have more similarities than differences.

    Obligado!!

  • Thanks for another nice jam :) Maybe use that beta MIDI out to do one with DRC while you're in the country ;)
