My wife is Awesome, help me spend my money
So my wife is awesome and she surprised me with a nice fat iTunes Gift card. So I am reaching out to you guys to see what I should get. I pretty much have most of the apps that I need to make the music that I like.
I do however want to give back to you guys, so I am asking for what apps you would like to see videos, demos, tutorials, etc.
I did just buy AudioBus 3 finally.
Thanks in advance.

Different Drummer
Sweet! Explore something you find interesting, but might not have spent your hard earned money on.
Bandshift would be good![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
MODSTEP MODSTEP MODSTEP.
Flowers. For her.
Modstep. For us.
How about a few cheap, quirky but brilliant apps, such as;
MegaCurtis Big
Earhoof
Dot Melody
BeatHawk with expansions ,
Caustic with some soundfonts ( warning : slow development, but best app for the money)
Modstep if you have other synths
ElasticDrums or Patterning for drum machines
Synthmaster (warning : unnecessary high CPU ) and expansions
DRC ( great quality)
Thor (very nice quality ,many synthesis options)
Phasemaker ( FM synthesis)
or Magellan (which is now on sale)
Audulus 3![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Would like to wrap my head around Self-a-Fuzz better, and it might be right up your guitar-playin' alley
I don't think Dhalang MG gets the love it deserves... mostly because I think it looks more intimidating than it actually is. For a good, complete demo from a native English speaker... the dev @Hypertonal might just hook you up with a code if you asked.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
If you have them, CSSpectral and, erm, the other one.
Would recommend seekbeats if you dont already have
snorts coffee
Another vote for Audulus or Dhalang.
I'm so close to upgrading Audulus but I'd need to reprioritise my spare time to get the most out of it.
Our friend going for Audulus or Dhalang would be interesting, but would it also be minority interest due to cost and complexity? Many more here would be able to afford the small yet brilliant apps I mentioned, and integrate them into workflow. But who knows, maybe there is enough credit to do both.
Beatmaker3 is not far off, that would be a popular choice for a video tutorial.
Love to see a demo of Future Drummer and the midi-out capabilities.
Moog Model 15. That modular stuff is deep, could always use more videos.
Fair point, I'd welcome some Earhoof action, that's criminally underused in my collection.
How about some Xynthesizr driving stuff? Oscilab revisited?

Sure, for those into modular synths. Some of us are simply too scared of that.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Another vote for this. And I have to agree with @TheVimFuego and wonder if everyone fully gets/knows Earhoof.
Great suggestions so far. I did pick up BeatHawk. So far its super fun and has more features that I realized. Especially with the Midi out and the piano roll.
I have seen several votes for Earhoof and future drummer. I already have a few of the others.
Audulus and Model 15 scare me as well. hehe
I am in the lead on the BeatMaker 3 giveaway so I shouldnt have to spend my money on that one.
I have been beta testing Modstep from the beginning but never have pulled the trigger to buy it. I guess because I usually have a beta version going.
Also thought about MitoSynth. Thoughts?
MitoSynth is very cool and a thing unto itself; certainly plenty there to be shown/told...
MitoSynth +1.
Haven't touch any other of my apps the past 2/3 weeks since I discovered the power of MitoSynth. Its a morphing lfo beast I never heard before.

Great suggestions.
Hmmm, MitoSynth. It's very deep and it can certainly do some things that other synths can't. It has an understandable user interface and great patch saving.
So it's definitely worth having, but I find the general sound to be a little thin and ear-fatiguing after awhile. When people say it excels at crystalline pads and the like, they are right. I just wish the filter could get a bit fatter or basic sound had more range.
That said, every time I open it up, I find it very absorbing.
Audulus may be too complex for audiodabbler to tackle in one demo. There are already good basic demos out there for the very rudimentary basics.
As for the cost of complex apps, those are the very apps that need more videos, ie. so before the investment is made the user can get a better idea before they drop the dough.
Dhalang MG offers a great deal for the money, but I feel it could use more demo videos so that other's catch on. Not all of us are solely fixated on low-cost apps. Some of the complex apps that don't have as many demos, are the very ones that need good demos that go deeper than just playing presets. And, the dev of Dhalang MG has already offered code and/or compensation for good demo videos. So, that one wouldn't likely involve him using his credit on.
There are lots of videos out there already for many of the popular, less expensive apps. Not so many for the pricier, complex ones. But, they might too be outside of audiodabbler's wheelhouse. Though, he does have a very good way of breaking down some complexities to make them a bit more understandable. And I like how he goes beyond just running through presets.
Makes no difference to me. I've already put in the time in the apps that have most flummoxed me, other than Audulus 3 going beyond the absolute basics.
Mitch did ask for suggestions and opinions. I'm not going to presume that most here are only interested in the lower cost, less complex apps.
+1 for Model 15
+1 Mitosynth (I've got this one pretty much figured out, but it could use a good demo to further demonstrate it's brilliance)
+1 Earhoof (this one seems fairly straight forward for the most part, but I know there's a deeper level here I've barely scratched)
+1 Modstep (mostly got this one down, but would love to go deeper)
+1 CsSpectral (very much interested in this one, but only if it gets an update soon. Jury seems to be out as to whether it's abandoned or not)
Lemur would be good to have a good demo on, but that's likely too complex for a single demo (like Audulus)
iVCS3 would be a great one. I don't really feel as comfortable in that one as I'd like to.
As far as budget apps that many here would get use from, and might already have. Every time I dig into that one it reveals more gems. I've never really got a handle on it's sequencer though. Would love to see a good, comprehensive demo of Magellan, and it's currently on sale!![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
