Korg Gadget bugs or features?

I'm no Gadget expert, so maybe these observations are user error. Are they bugs or features?

  1. The two new audio recording gadgets allow one to choose the input as 1+2, 1 or 2. I choose input 1 and save the file but every time I go back to work on the the file again, the input always defaults back to input 1+2. And I have to reset every track the uses Zurich or Recife back to input 1 every single time.
  2. Sometimes the count off metronome works for recording, sometimes it doesn't and I can't figure out why.
  3. In the new Gadget for Mac, I choose for the output and input to be routed through my audio interface and hit save for the file. But it always defaults back to the internal output speakers and internal microphone input. And I have to reset it for the audio interface every time I access the program.

  • Don't think count in works with Link enabled.

  • @Halftone @Pianokey88 I can confirm that count in does not work with Link enabled. Just discovered this today. Maybe there should be a count in with ableton link option to where it will pick up on the next bar or 1/4 note or something.

  • There's a third option: dumb design choices

    Those would qualify as features

    I suppose you're right

  • Gadget related.
Is there a way to delete the demo tracks?
OR is there a way to reduce the app size of almost a gig?

Deleting the demo tracks would do literally nothing to reduce the size of the apps. Unfortunately there's nothing that can be done. I bought a second iPad dedicated to just gadget because it is quite a beast when combined with Module and the other IAPs. Start saving up for a bigger device now is all I can say.

  • Something seems weird/buggy now when you try to view more than one measure in piano roll. You used to be able to hold measure one then hold measure four and it would zoom out to that range. Now it seems really fidgety and jumps back to the first measure when trying to release.

It still works but it's a lot more fidgety. On the edge of being annoying

Agree with this, but have found that if I touch both bars (say 1 and 4) at exactly the same time it works more consistently/effectively....
