Alternatives to TouchOSC
Hi all,
I've been using a Korg NanoKontrol 2 with the amazing Paracosm Lumen video synth. It's functional but I would prefer a controller that more closely matches the interface.
I used TouchOSC to control Reaper on a Windows laptop and Android phone five years ago and quite liked it even though the bridge program wreaked a bit of havoc. Thanks to its CoreMIDI capabilities, I am about 95% sure that TouchOSC will work for me today. But I imagine that the competitive landscape has changed over the years so I figured I'd ask the forum what you're using in 2017.
Criteria: built-in CoreMIDI via network (I'd rather not use a bridge program); customizable interface including rotary, slider, and X-Y controllers; 64-bit and reasonably well maintained; reasonably nice to look at.
If possible, I would also like to support an independent developer.

Edit: I'm using a MacBook Pro, an iPhone 6, and an iPad Mini 4. No more Windows or Android.

TB Midi Stuff is my favorite.
If you're using windows though, I think some kind of bridge software for core midi is needed no matter what you use, unless you can go direct by USB cable using something like MidiMUX or StudioMUX. I'll have to give that a try.
Lemur is good too, but TB has a better on-device surface editor, and is easier to work with IMO. MIdi designer is supposed to be good too.
Humm. Sonic Logic is looking interesting too.
