Korg Gadget - Pitch bend question

Hi

I have recorded a nice bassline in Gadget using Darwin and manually added pitch bend. If I change Darwin to another gadget, eg Dublin, then the pitch bend disappears.
Does anybody know how to change to another Gadget without loosing pitch bend ?
Is it possible ?

Comments

  • Maybe instead of changing the gadget, try adding a new track then copying the pattern into it? Sorry, no time to test that myself right now.

  • Thank you @wim for the suggestion, I tried that but pitch bend is not copied to the new track.

    I found this discussion: https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/206550003-Automation-data-is-not-copied-and-no-idea-what-pitch-bend-values-are

It looks like it it not possible to change gadget or copy to another track without loosing pitch bend.

I solved it by exporting the midi track to Dropbox, importing it to Auria Pro and then recording it to a new track with the Dublin gadget in Korg Gadget.
Not elegant, but it works

  • Wow. That sucks.
I guess one could get around that by using an external app's sequencer (such as Modstep or Cubasis) to do the midi sequencing/recording, with midi out to Gadget. I've used Modstep for that purpose and it works.
