New shutterwax album on bandcamp

Hi everyone, there was a discussion that involved my band's music in another thread (thank you @Telefunky and @eustressor for the very kind words). We released a new album this week, you can feel free to check it out / download it here :
https://shutterwax.bandcamp.com/album/disappointment

Two of the tracks, disappointment and hurricane, were mixed by me on auria, and the keyboard parts I played on "I won't say a word" were done with Thor, and that octagonal keyboard (not remembering the name right now). The keyboards on Bristol anthem were from synth master, and Mellotron on nothing left but breathing was super manetron, but those were played by Zach, who is a real keyboardist. There might be a few other things on there too, I don't remember.

Most of the album was mixed by Steve, who engineered all of the songs except for the two I mixed, which were done in sessions before Steve was involved. Since he started engineering for us, I've completely given that role up as he is great. It's a good opportunity for me to learn!

Hurricane was mastered by @Tarekith, but the rest, sadly, were mastered by us because this is a no budget project.

Thanks for checking it out!!

  • Wow. Listened to tracks 4 and 5 ...since you mentioned iOS. -- incredible. It all sounds so tight and polished. The singer is amazing.

Then took a dive into track 9 .. drawn by the title just because I have a couple of small kids of my own .. That song could easily fit in on a Tom Petty album and I hope that comes off the right way -- 'cause I mean that as a giant compliment.

  • Thanks! That last song was supposed to be sung by someone else, but that didn't happen and Jeff did that vocal. I like the vulnerability that he got from that.

I appreciate you listening and hope you enjoy the other songs as well.

  • Well done @mrufino1. Particularly fond of track 6.

Thanks, that was a fun one - real piano on that too (played by Zach). I used my solid body uke bass on that track as well, also on track 1 and my acoustic uke bass on the last song. The solid body is gone but I still have my acoustic.
