Looking For Recommendations: ... A Quality Tabletop Speaker for Monitoring ???
beyond cheap -$300
warm sound, I guess rich bass or a good balance, and good volume...... battery operation would be a + but not necessary.
something you take with you to the balcony to do your alchemy

In this last link is the one I think you're looking for: https://www.amazon.com/Samson-MediaOne-Active-Monitors-Bluetooth/dp/B00DGAXXV4?tag=audiorumble-20
At that price I think PreSonus or JBL will be your best bet.
thanks connactic, but by table top I meant those one piece kind of little monitors that you can place on the table behind your device or next to it... I think someone put a pic of one in the studio pic thread I'll see if I can find it

IK iLoud?
Sometime a couple years ago, Guitar center had m-audio BX8 for $150 each.
thanks for the suggestions everyone will check out the ILoud Wigglelights mentioned, if you know about anything else good similar to that please say![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
soundlink mini is a lovely little thing
I second the iLoud. I use it for Bluetooth audio and also have a Audient ID14 connected between it and my iPad. Definitely take a look at that one.
Acquired an iLoud 1.5 years ago. Good portable for balcony noodling.
wow does the iloud really work for 10hrs off a charge?
I will update this post with options I find interesting for others looking for the same kind of thing.

Another vote for iLoud.
I have something similar that I got when iPhone 3GS ruled the world, some Logitech crap, hyper sensitive to placement to get any lower end, it's serving life as a radio in my kitchen. Logitech did make a really great clip-on speaker system for the iPad years ago though, it didn't seem to be in production for long, I wish I had stocked up on a bunch as they really did sound great (rechargable battery w/5hrs, just the right size, easily clipped on to the iPads and stayed in place). I haven't found any alternatives worth a try since
Pretty close. Tested it yesterday and obtained 9h + usage on a full charge.
Agreed! iLoud for the win! Yes it lasts a long time and while the bass is excellent it is not overdone as is the case with most of the other all in one units. it sounds outstanding and the little neodymium speakers really put out. No distortion even at max.
