Best Recorder/Editor for Podcasts?
I am setting someone up who has no DAW experience with something for them to record and edit their podcast. I only really know Auria and Cubasis on iOS which are of course total overkill for them. I tried Hokusai 2 which is pretty good but was wondering what other easy alternatives are out there?

Hmmm looks like they also have Ferrite Recording Studio...
Check out TwistedWave. I use it to edit our church sermons. Works great. A lot of export options.
GarageBand is apparently quite popular for Podcasts...

Ferrite seems to be the non-musician's fave for podcasts.
GarageBand used to rock at podcasting, but they removed the capability.
What does Apple have against podcasting ~now~? The Apple podcast app sucks, too.
BossJock?
If these days I were to try and cast, to the assembled iPods still out there, and I only had an iPad, I'd look to LumaFusion - it can export audio only.
Cool cool. Thanks for the suggestions. i will check out the options!![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I downloaded the free recording app from iZotope 'Spire' (Multitrack) a few days ago but haven't tried it yet

What did garageband remove that doesn't allow for podcast recording? I don't remember any podcast specific options on the ios version, but I haven't ever recorded a podcast so maybe I didn't know it was there. I would think with the new channel strip access its better for podcasting than it was before but I could be wrong.
