Beathawk au keyboard lock

So composing a couple beathawk channels in GarageBand. When I save and get out and go back into beathawk to work I noticed the keyboard doesn't lock inside beathawk it reverts back to the pads so I have to go into each setup and reopen the keyboard. Is there a way to fix that to keep the keyboard open after closing a project?

Also it would be great (just dreaming here same for gadget) if I could open an au say troublemaker onto a pad and use the piano roll inside beathawk.

You can us Beathawk's Midi out to control AUs loaded in AUM. What I do is load BeatHawk (IAA, not standalone) into AUM, then load other instruments, filtering for only the channel (pad) wanted for each.

    Here's an example:

  • I'm still confused how to do the midi stuff but simple steps like these help.

  • I tried recording beathawk into cubasis and GarageBand and no takes worked. I just wanted to be able to open a a project in GarageBand with beathawk and finish the project that way. Beathawk works fine drawing midi in GarageBand but it doesn't remember if it was a pad or a keyboard was played and I have to go in each time and open the key board or switch to the pads on each channel.
