ChordFlow question
Does anyone think that if you were able to lock the sequencer to a specific scale/key in addition to chords that you would use it as a fun melody sequencer?
It is very satisfying to just swipe and draw with wild abandon in the sequencer. If you were sending the midi out, you could write your whole song without ever leaving that screen.

Yeah, that'd be cool. That's probably also a different app...
I guess it could be another app, but I wouldn't want anything else to change about the sequencer. Keep it simple. All you need is scales in ChordFlow and boom. Done.
Ah, I misunderstood your original proposition. Now, I see what you mean--and yes, scales would be very helpful.
@ChordUp what do you think?
1)Just use suggester to come up with a progression in a selected key.
2) Input those chords into chordflow.
3) Profit.
That is a good idea, but not what I'm after. If you could simply lock it to a scale, the workflow would be something like this all within the sequencer view.
1. Draw notes and such, play with length and speed, etc
2. Click a "save" button. Current pattern is added to the song section lists
3. Draw more notes and adjust again. This is where the fact that you can draw right over old stuff to replace it really shines.
4. Click save, rinse and repeat.
Now you've got yourself a crap load of song sections within a matter of minutes. Just rearrange, point the midi wherever, and done. There's no need to set up a progression or choose chords if you can control the scale/note display on the sequencer and just save everything you put in there as a section.
