Helpful tidbit regarding using multiple devices over wifi
This may be common knowledge but it certainly surprised me when I took a shot in the dark and tried it and it worked...If your using multiple devices or apps that require or benefit from being connected over wifi you don't actually have to have any kind of internet connection, in most cases all you need is a wifi router. One of my devices is an Air 2 wifi only model and if you use Bluetooth I'm sure your aware how badly it can suck with constant disconnects and latency so this could be a good alternative. I now use an old router I had just sitting there collecting dust solely for this purpose and have found it to be much more reliable and faster than even my home wifi network which has a much newer router or using a venues wifi assuming they have it.

There are also inexpensive "travel routers" that can give you a standalone network in minutes. There are loads of uses.
I have the HooToo Tripmate Elite (battery powered, and you can charge your iDevice from it, hook up USB drives, etc.), and the Tripmate Nano (powered from a standard USB charger, can't charge other devices, but weighs about an ounce and is about 2" square by 1/4" thick).
I keep the Nano in my briefcase all the time. That way if I ever want to have my devices talk when theres no wifi or I don't want to use it, I can. If I want this private network to have internet access, the router can hook up to another wifi or wired network and act as a hotspot.
Good to know! Now if i could use my iPhone as a hotspot for my iPad I would be in business, unfortunately Sprint locks this feature out...I'm assuming because somewhere some executive for the companies son needs a new private jet
