Mute buttons

edited September 2013 in General App Discussion

I'm sure this is an old request but I'm new here. Any possibility of a mixer of sorts to be able to control gain levels in one area AND more importantly, and useful for me, would be mute buttons (maybe solo as well?).
In performance it would be handy to be able to shutoff an apps' sound so they aren't always layered with one another.
Thanks for such a great app

  • which app are you talking about? AudioBus is an interface not a DAW..

  • Auria can probably do that for up to 3 Audiobus inputs.

  • You can't yet, no. It has been requested. If you have Aurua, Paul's suggestion works well.

  • Really any of the music apps out. I use a lot of them like Thumbjam, imini, additive, animoog, etc. I will definitely try auria to accomplish this, thanks.

  • If your apps have a master volume and are controllable by MIDI CC then you can set up a MIDI button to mute your apps. Animoog, JamUp, Magellan work.

I use MIDI designer Lite (free) and there are other MIDI options to send the mute/unmute message.

Also a MIDI foot pedal might work too.
