DrumJam feature requests

@sonosaurus I recently picked up DrumJam and absolutely love it. The sound quality is superb. I also picked up all of the IAPs with no regrets.

One feature I would love to see is an option to record each loop separately when layering loops. So if you have 4 loops playing together and hit record, then you could get four individual wav files as output. Currently I have to do this manually one by one through muting. The reason is that I want to add effects to some individual loops in my DAW, rather than to the whole layered recording.

My other request would be to just say 'keep 'em coming!'... I would happily pay for more IAPs to keep the app fresh. I would also love to see each instrument have a set of loops as well (I can't play drums for toffee...). Some seem to and some don't. Not sure what dictates that?

Thanks for listening! Awesome app. ThumbJam rightfully gets a lot of love here but DrumJam is an absolute gem too.

Comments

  • Thanks! Your feature request makes sense, I'll add it to the list...

As for the differences between loops and kit instrument availability, that was up to Pete Lockett, and the reasons probably vary. If you have some particular ones you'd like to see, let me know and I can pass it on.

  • The app is already near perfect. If anything, I'd appreciate a few more obscure instruments, stuff that you just don't find in other drum apps. I'm sure Mr Lockett could rustle up a dozen of those for us.

  • another feature would be great. i'd love to be able to import my own samples and play them back on those awesome pads

That one has been on the list for a long time, and will be the next to get done.

  • Plus kit sharing! It's all the rage ;)

    .......drooling ;). i can't wait

  • Looking forward to drumjam with global tuning support some day!

  • Are you going to release another app soon @sonosaurus ??

    I hope so

No idea. But I would LOVE to buy GuitarJam. Any chance of this ever happening, guys?

    Any. Talk about instabuy.

  • I'd love to buy sampler jam too, but drumjamm ain't finished by a mile yet, and I can't wait for the features they've already got on the list to come through.

  • It needs to be -um- Jam, so PlumJam would be one possibility, not sure what it could sound like. StrumJam on the other hand... Don't really need a guitar app, though.
Definitely looking forward to the user samples and kits, whenever it is that they'll finally be made possible.

  • I might be done with the -Jam names on anything new, folks. There are a few things simmering on the stove, perhaps over the summer one might land on the table....

  • and we shall feast :)

And there might be MPE on that table? Will you need beta testers?

  • @sonosaurus Thanks for the wonderful app!
Any future updates or Auv3 version?

  • Any recent videos of how one might use this app in your workflow?

  • no video, but I run drumjam through a plethora of pedals and resample til my heart's content... can't wait for the impending sample import feature!!!

  • Wonderful apps - difficult to improve really - other than more obscure percussion instruments - but importing will fix all that.
    Can't wait.

@sonosaurus Pair of Conga drums, Hi and Low in Drumjam with a full set of touches like Heel, Tip, Open, Close, Mute and Slap would be just fantastic, can’t find it anywhere else on ios

There’s this kit in DrumPerfect Pro. I can’t remember if it is an IAP? @Gilbert will know.

Thanks for that. @gusgranite I think it’s the latin IAP. Only I did not buy any IAPs as I found DrumPP too hard to understand/use. Maybe will try again one day....

Hi, to make it clear, IAP packs in DrumPerfect Pro are not just a multisampled kit.
There are a great number of patterns ( 267 to be more precise ), much more advanced and authentic rhythmically than simple midi files. So when you purchase a pack you can start using the patterns and songs right out of the box, if I may say. And export each instrument in the drum track as stems for your mix. Up to the user to choose to expand in programming his own patterns or not. But in this case it is recommended to study the patterns included in the pack.
The Latin Percussion pack is one of the most detailed pack.
