VIDEO IOS 11 Device to Device midi?
@Sebastian said
(This is a bug in Audiobus 3. It does not do IDAM device to device, it just shows the network session from another device that is also running Audiobus 3 (but only via WiFi). Currently, that doesn't do anything and it has nothing to do with the cable connection between the two devices.)
After an audiobus update this feature/bug is gone so I will be taking down the video
IOS 11 Device to Device midi?

Oohhh. But hey, turn off wifi and BT then try again. Are you sure that isn't a wireless connection?
Lol yes if it was wireless it would be even better lol. The connection didn’t happen until I plugged them together
;-b
Beautiful. I wonder if this works in a USB hub (so I could also plug in my audio interface)
Awesome.
Now do audio!
cant
i don't think you heard me
just kiddin. That is pretty bad ass.
@Shazamm it would be great if you test it launching a sequencer on one device and a synth/drum app on the other. And some feedback about latency/ jitter .
Thank you for the videos

So, let's pretend there is no Audiobus app at all.
Isn't IDAM plug&play feature on iOS 11?
I mean launching one app on first device should create a virtual midi port on the second device . Or the developers must add some code first in order to work?
IDAM is pretty straight forward when going iOS->macOS just need to 'enable' it in the Audio Midi Settings.
Currently on iOS10 and macOS10.x it's 'Audio In' only making it easy to digitally record everything the iPad outputs.
I'm looking forward to iOS11 mad macOS High Sierra and using my iPad as a full 'sound-module' with Renoise & LogicProX
if Apple manages to pull of IDAM iOS<->iOS I'll be very happy!
(It will be a blast to be able to digitally 'sample' one iOS device to the other).
I am guessing iConnectMidi company is not as excited.
Not sure. It's still required by those of us that windows. There's a lot more windows users in Asia (like me.) also I love this device even when I'm not even using my iPad.
So , Apple did not announced iOS to iOS connection (audio or midi ) ???
Edit : @Shazamm made a small mistake , that's ok . We where all excited, maybe Apple will implement some other time.
lol
Yes I jumped the gun. I apologize to the community. I took the video down ASAP not to cause any more confusion.
