well, that sells it for me i'm buying this thing. thanks guys
The midi out is great. Connected to Elsa and within a few minutes had a sequence running with some morphs triggering elsa's fx section. Will use KRFT a lot more now.
Super update.
Smacks self on the head and says "Why do I never remember to update reviews?!" ... and off to the app store.
I'm so sleepy from playing with it so far into the night that I hope I can still write something that makes sense. One of the best apps ever is now one of the besterest apps ever.
An "info" cell would be cool that would just be a cirlce but when you tap on it it would pop up a "post it note" .. then it wouldn't clutter up your surface.
@everyone Thanks for all the reviews!
Yeah!
And since we're getting picky- I'd like a little color picker for choosing my own channels' colors sometime down the road. I've been using very specific colors in DAWs for years, and being able todo that in KRFT would really help everything become second nature.
Channel color picker would be nice. Especially for the Black on Black master channel controls. What's up with that? Even if you label them they're still almost impossible to see.
Heh. When the only thing that comes to mind that I don't like about an app is the color, that is amazing.
@Alex fox love the update. Noticing some bugs when I have AU hosted in AUM with KFRT. KRFT just hangs when I go back to it...and takes a while for it to wake up. Just crashed during a live session in which I was modulating AU synth in AUM.
Is there a crash log somewhere I can grab and send you?
Mail me [email protected] thanks!
Easy fix is to just host krft in AUM.
So the demo video was great. Will the midi mapping work with StudioMux?
Same for hosting in AB3. I don't have any comparative data, but sure didn't see any issues over 2-3 hours playing with it last night.
Umm....that's what I was doing. KRFT was hosted in AUM, as were the 4 AU synths. When I bounced back to KRFT to record my sequence, it hung, and then crashed.
I can't seem to find a Crash Log. Nothing shows up in Xcode when I download the logs. KRFT is absent from the list of apps issuing crash logs.
I will confess that I was using the latest seed of MOOD as my AU synth...so not sure if it's at fault. I'll try a different AU synth to see what happens. It didn't take long for it to crash.
NOTE: I was also having AUM serve as the MIDI host, so I was pointing KRFT to AUM Midi Channel 1, 2, 3 which were appropriately routed to the mood AU synths.
I have not used extensively but I used KRFT with midi mux to send to Ableton via lightening cable.
Cool. I'm gonna try it out. Studiomux doesn't show up in abletons midi control list unlike midimtr.
Right, i use midimittr personally - what's better in your opinion?
Sorry for delay in responding. I didn't appear to get a notification of mention.
Yep all good and working on ios7 now. Ta!
I had the same issue yesturday using AB3 on my iPhone.
Oops... the app hangs. UI freezes. It did come back to life though.
Yep...this is what happened to me...it crashed after the second hang though
This update is incredible. Anyone using the Lumen video synth?I've uploaded a rudimentary control surface called "Lumen MIDI." Far easier to build than the one I started in TouchOSC!
I have some troubleshooting yet but this is an interesting start. You'll obviously need to map it into Lumen since the program offers no defaults. I used cc 102-111 on channels 11-16 so hopefully it won't interfere with your other gear, but who knows anymore...
I've got a pc so I've never used Midimttr.
Great!
Now I'm feeling guilty that I got this for $5. With multiple midi-outs (and CC modulation) it completes the AB3 scenario exactly the way I'd been waiting for-- this, AUx BeatHawk X2+, and various noisemakers flowing into MTD...
So cool to have watched this rise up from Noiz and the other projects, all hail the Fox bros.
Same here! I am so grateful I jumped in from day 1. just to think we only just begun!
If you host krft inside auriapro, does krft sync? I know it has Link, but AP doesn't. I may not get a chance to test this out till sunday. Someone please chime in, thanks!
Is the forum down?
