Using Zoom H1 with iPad (power error)
I just bought a Zoom H1 thinking I could use it as a mic for my iPad but when I plug it in I get an error saying not enough power. Seems odd as it's a battery powered device. Anyone know how to fix this?

USB hub![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Thanks, how about transferring recordings to your iPad. Is there a way to do that?
As it starts, while enpluggened in to USB, it offers the choice of usb card mode, or record mode, if you're judicious with your stabbing of the button at the correct time. That reminds me, I should buy a lottery ticket today.
How do you transfer the files to the iPad while in USB card mode?
I wonder if it is possible....when I open Tascam dr05, it goes directly in photos folder, wanting to import photos??? .... from an audio recorder? meanwhile DR05 is showing "USB storage" on its screen, no way to see/access audio files...
CrapApple.
Yes that's what I'm getting. I wonder if there's one of these Files apps that can access them
H1 is obnly battery powered when not connected by USB, hence it still needs a _powered+ USB hub (the powered bit was omitted earlier). Getting files off the microSD is the same problem as getting files off any other external storage device - messy. I have a two part hop using one of thoise WiFi streaming bricks to get them into GoodReader, then open in to AudioShare from there (remember to delete from GoodReader afterwards). Or, plug card into PC and use iTunes or FunBox to mover them directly via sync cable into AudioShare. I hate that methoed, personally, but since I rarel use the H1 in stand-alone mode and normally carry a powered hub running off a USB charger battery workflow has stabilized out. Handy little mike+field recorder though.
