Mood will get an AU update

I'm in contact with Alessandro from Apesoft and he will update the current AU layout. There will be a global menu bar at the top.

Thanks Alessandro:)

A suggestion I made:

Alessandro's response:

  • Thanks. The current AU layout distresses me :#

  • Looking forward to the update, definitely an improvement over the current one.
Over all I really like Mood even though it's missing proper PWM ;)

  • Please add a scales keyboard option in a upgrade.

  • Sweet, that will actually help idiots like me to jump around and learn synthesis better. :)

Some guys are disappoints about the current AUv3 navigations, during the betatesting nobody had highlight to me this. I'm working now
to Improve the Audiounit V3 navigation. If you have any questions or ideas, please contact me through the e-mail. Thanks, greetings.
    Thanks to Jakob Lipp (Heiliger_Bimbam)

    ps
Make this for the iPhone UI it's almost impossible.

The trick is to sync osc1 and osc2 and than detune osc2 frequency. This is kind of PWM and sounds quite nice.

  • Nice!

There are many ways to do 'pulse sweep' type sounds but it's far from the same as controlling pulse-width with an envelope or a dedicated LFO.

Other ways would be to mix two 'phase synced' saw-waves (ramp up & down) and detune one of them for the PWM sweep effect. Controlling the 'start phase' of one of the oscillators would set the initial duty-cycle.

Yet another would be to 'ring modulate' two saw oscillators and detune one of them :)

How about the color scheme of the presets window. Can it be made similar (darker) to the rest of the app?

I don't like too much the text on dark background.
It use the iOS UITableView as default.

Maybe you already knew, but you can select 5 different skin types hidden in the settings menu when you scrol down.

Well right now the difference between the other views and this one is pretty jarring.

    Baller! Thanks!

  • Can you use the effects of this app in the AU effects slot, like you can with iVCS?

No FX for AU but you can feed mood as FX in IAA mode.

Phase note the processing chain for the input is:
    Input -> FLTR -> FX -> ADSR
