If I'm understanding that article correctly, the mobile version will be a set price of $4.99, with 50% of that going to FRANK Water. Still a good cause and some cool sounding stuff!
That's correct @ TCM
I have the desktop version and imported it to my Alchemy Mobile.... of course not all presets works perfect on my iPhone 5. But i would say over 95% of the 150 presets running fine.
I will post a little demo with 3 short (snapshot)tracks today or tomorrow. Each made with 4 tracks/presets... no other apps included.... i will just use BeatMaker2 to put the 3 AudioTracks together.
All i can say.... i love "Water".
Indeed... you could buy the 150 desktop presets for "what price ever".... and you can get the mobile edition then also for free (but no need for that then) as the owner of the desktop version. Of course i spend a bit because i really appreciate the work of camel audio and the great sound designers. As an owner of the full blown Alchemy for desktop i know how hard it is to create such presets! Still learning here...
When arrive the mobile version I buy it for shure...
Turns out "Pay What You Want" equals minimum of $30, to receive everything, which is still better than the normal $59 price. The mobile version will be $4.99 and will only include partial amount of the presets
Actually if you pay 30 or more you'll get a bunch of bonus samples. The complete Water package with all the presets etc is anything from just 1 buck and up.
@JMSexton: But you will have no use for the "extra" if you import them to ipad/iPhone. The extra are just samples (i get them too of course But you're right... i have about 2/3 of all (official) available Alchemy presets and a lot of the desktop presets sounds really awesome and working perfect also on my iPhone! And you get 150 (mobile 50 only). But €49 against €4,99. So 50 presets is fair enough!
Can't wait for mobile...sounds sooo good!!
Uuups... forget my demo... there are lot of water sound demos from camel audio on soundcloud. Especially love the "Trail Of Water" demo!
@Galaxyexplorer - yea forgot to mention it, or hoped it was obvious enough, I too have most desktop sets they are soooooo good one of my favorites synths. If I had to narrow it down to 3-4 it'd be Alchemy (sample based), iMini (virtual analog), Sampletank (instruments), Thor (a plethora of synths), and Nave or iPolysix (can't pick)
Edit: Picking 5 was much easier 6 months ago!
@JMSexton perfect choices - agree but I can't let go of Sunrizer.
That may change after Artic Keys Pro arrives anytine now.lol
Wow sounds really good.
I love Alchemy desktop too but I think I will only be getting the mobile version of Water when its released,as I want to really get into creating sounds on the desktop version and making my own
Themed sound sets,Fire and Ice Lol, but don't misunderstand me I'm not poking fun at the Frank Water charity even though I've never heard of it, I have personally been donating every month for
Many years to Water Aid,who also provide clean drinking water where its needed around the world.
