What's your app of the year so far

It's been a great year and will get even better..

So far I've enjoyed KRFT , Redshrike, Unique synth was ok but now Groovebox has landed with a total freshness that inspires. So for me, Groovebox has been the highlight so far, I'm not impatient for BM3 because of how I felt about its predecessor. I am hoping it lives up to its hype for its fans though. I've not yet got AB3 because I got Aum instead

Nano Studio 2 is my big hope for the next level needed for iOS production :)

I have now also formally given up buying gadgets as I feel novation will deliver more flexible fresh add ons to Groovebox faster and cheaper!

  • There hasn't been anything that has totally taken my time away from the classics but if I had to choose I'd say KRFT. It's just impressive.

  • Updated Garageband; updated Beathawk; Groovebox.

  • Groovebox, KRFT and BeatHawk.

Reslice, Troublemaker and KRFT music wise, for video Hyperspektiv and Wizibel - but just missing 2017 by a whisker - LumaFusion.

If I had to pick one it'd be KRFT - purely for the fun factor, innovation and value for money.

KRFT, Groovebox & Chord Maps 2

ChordMaps2 is so amazing together with Synths , Acoustic Guitars or iSymphonic Orchestra for example with Strings and Harp.

  • I don't get many chances to check out good apps because a lot of them don't get ported to iPhone, but I do have to 2nd @Purpan 's choice of the GB update - admittedly not a new app.

  • There is no app of the year for me so far.

I'm glad that gadget finally got audio, but that's an old app, so it maybe doesn't qualify.

Watched the video ... very nice. I'd never heard of Chord Maps, let alone CM2  Thank you for sharing!

Gadget, iWAVESTATION patch making into Gadget, KRFT, FutureDrummer, TroubleMaker (especially the sequencer)

All on an iphone6s plus (despite me owning an iPad Air that gets less and less use these days).

  • For sheer scalability, I'd have to say the happy marriage of Audiobus and Midibus into the magical, mystical Audiobus 3. I'll admit I have a long way to go exploring this mighty goodness, but the capabilities of AB3 and the Midiflow plugs are just the bees knees.

And that's coming from a Midiot :sunglasses:

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • KRFT, Troublemaker, Mood. Such impressive sound coming from Mood.

    Couldn't have said it better.

  • KRFT (MIDI update)
Audiobus 3 and MIDI fx apps
    Reslice

If updates count, I'd add the AUv3 update of iDensity and Apefilter to the list.

  • Troublemaker! So much love for that app.

And most excited by Audulus right now. I was lucky enough to pick up a free code on the iOS FB group and can't wait to learn more. It looks amazing.

  • KRFT and AB3 set the bar so much higher

  • KRFT period.

  • Troublemaker and Mood

  • Troublemaker and Mood. Pretty tame year, but it's not those two apps' fault.

  • X Drummer

I jest ... KRFT, ReSlice and Troublemaker will do for me.

I'll probably grab Mood soon, seems quality and the modulation possibilities are great.

    wish it had midi through

  • So far, my number one app of the year is Beathawk. A month from now, it's probably going to be Beatmaker 3 (which can host several instances of Beathawk in the pads).

Really? I think it's been a good year for apps that make me more productive... I could create for hours with KRFT, troublemaker, and Reslice. Egoist update has juiced a couple tracks that were a little flat. Even the Beathawk update has generated two new tracks that I'm really happy with.

  • Although I love everything Korg makes, I must say BEATHAWK!

But, a good evening contains several other apps from Bram Bos and many other of the great developer out there...
    So spoiled!

Beathawk and Reslice for sure. Beathawk especially as it's been the best education in hip-hop beatmaking for me. I'm definitely ready for BM3 to bring my other iOS noisemakers into the flow as well. For new loopers, Looperverse v1 and Quantiloop 2 are perfect for me! I'm close to releasing my hardware loopers (almost)

  • troublemaker & harmony eight
