  • @funjunkie27 Will take a careful look. Thanks for digging out the link Sir.

  • I am even confused by Mister Williams' (gallant) confusion.....but I also watched his iGrand video and got a better idea of what it can do moving beyond beats. It looks like a labor of love; to make and play :) But it certainly does things other things don't. Imagine that a mad professor put it together, and I am intrigued.

  • That's certainly the appeal. The updates have made some things easier and made the app more flexible, and as @johnfromberkeley noted, the real hurdle is the overall concept. Once you're past that, it just gets cool.

Moving the individual notes is a bit cumbersome, and I find it easier just to adjust the waves, and then tweak the notes, if needed.

Still, there are a few things I'd like to see to really take it over the top. I'd like to see notes highlighted on the keyboard when in the progression screen, so you can see what scale tones are in each step of the progression. I'd like to have the ability to change the time signature within a progression. I'd also like some automation to control when tracks kick in, preferably within the progression screen. Just throwing all this out in the hopes the dev stops by;-)

  • It'd be better to contact him directly. He does seem quite receptive to good ideas.

  • Yeah...I'll do that.

  • Glad to hear that he hasn't abandoned it! Thanks for passing that on Flo. I'm looking forward to it.
