An AB3 MIDI recording app?
Are there any midi recording apps available besides a full blown DAW?
Advance recording features as loop, record erase/replace, etc. will be a plus..
One would think that Midiflow would have such an app...

Gadget has Midi In![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Infinite looper
Thanks.. looking for a simple app to record midi in AB3's chain..
I have Gadget, BeatHawk, BeatMaker.. but they are such a pain to setup just to extract a midi file..
Music Studio....
Modstep is getting very good ab3 midi implementation soon. A lot better than cubasis anyways. So far it's the only midi sequencer where I didn't need mfadapter to do magic in my ruismaker rack. It can even feedback loop itself without needing anything else.
@gonekrazy3000 - I've been thinking about getting ModStep. It seems to get lots of love on this forum. Or, should I just wait for BM3? It seems like there would be some overlap (alot?). Sorry to hijack this thread, but thought this question might be germaine to the original topic.
To be honest we haven't seen bm3's sequencer at all. It might be the best thing ever or as terrible and useless as auria pro's. (seriously. Drawing notes and patterns in aurias piano roll is more painful than pulling teeth. Luckily modstep midi can be imported into it otherwise I'd delete Auria for good,) Good news though is since Bm3 and modstep both have midi Ins and outs and ableton link I'm probably going to end up using both if Bm3 lacks something. I'd say just wait till the 15th.
What about iPhone-only app that's not a DAW?
Aleph Looper?
I meant usable on an iPhone.
Thanks!
Second this. Does the dev still post here? Seems like it has been a while since it has been updated. I've been praying for an AB3 update. I just bought an iPad and am waiting for an AB3 update before buying IL.
I haven't seen @SecretBaseDesign around here in a long while. IL/AL would make ideal AB3 MIDI apps.
Pro MIDI,
but has only Inter App.

EDIT
@RajahP Sorry, didn't mentally register AB3 requirement, even if it of course important. Hope the developer will wake up and add this.
Beatmaker2 was/is the best at this - for the phone. Aleph and InfiniteLooper can.
Till BM3 those are your phone choices
Audio Evolution Mobile does, and is in beta for iPhone - they lookin for betas too
Since all of his apps are so neck deep in clever midi solutions, I imagine he's rather busy now that AB3 takes it all over when midi apps are loaded. Here's hoping his concepts and code ports over well.
