How to use a midi controller mixer that works with AUM but also has AUDIO input for Loopy?
Hello all, I absolutely love the LaunchControl XL and have been enjoying playing it with AUM and Seekbeats but I'm at a point where I also need some sort of audio input for my guitar to use Loopy in that aural goodness. Is there something else similar to LaunchControl but also has audio input?
(FYI - I know about K-mix but that's out of my budget)
Thanks in advance!

Just found out about the APC40 MK2 but can't find anything online about compatibility with AUM. Anybody here have it?
Hey, sounds fun! I'm curious why you don't use a USB hub and just add whatever audio interface you like? You can definitely use a USB midi controller and a separate USB audio interface at the same time on iOS.
What @Hmtx said.
Or, because I'm incapable of not bringing it up at least once every other month, find a used Novation X-Station. Audio IO and MIDI control in one box (plus other stuff).
The apc40 is a midi controller only. Why do you need a controller that has audio input ? Just add an extra audio interface and use a hub. You can connect multiple devices simultaneously. What camera connection kit are you using ? The USB 3.0 one ?
@Hmtx @syrupcore @gonekrazy3000 - THANKS GUYS! I guess USB hub is the answer, (duh). Any particular models you guys like? @syrupcore - I'll def check out the X-station. EDIT: Looks like the X-station is an older model and Craigslist in my area doesn't have any. Is there a newer version of it today (i'm too impatient to order it off of eBay or something). Or I can just go the USB hub route.
Thanks again guys!
No newer version of the x-station I'm afraid. Worth the wait though! Amazing little machine. Once @AmpifyxNovation goes hardware, to the surprise of their bosses, I'm hoping that will take the shape of an updated version with all manner of new awesome that teams seems to come up with I don't even know I want yet.![ ](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Sorry to detail here but like I said, it's an itch I'm compelled to scratch every once in a while!
One of the incredibly handy x-station features not found in other midi controllers is that the audio inputs also work as a stand alone mixer with effects. My current jamming setup when I go to my buddy's place is:
I run the Volca into the ER1's audio input and then ER1 and the Monologue into the inputs on the X-station. No extra mixer needed. Plus, USB and DIN midi IO (with two DIN MIDI Outs) means everything interconnects with minimum headache. All fits in two cases. Easy.
I mostly go back and forth between two patches on the x-station: one for the Volca keys and one for iSem. Playing the volca keys with normal full sized keys and knobs opens it right up.
Seems to me that an updated model that could map automagically to the Circuit synths as well as Blocs/Ampify apps, possibly dropping the internal synth entirely, could be pretty popular.
Were I in the Ampify/Novation whiteboard room, I'd probably vote to remove the XLR inputs and go with 4 line inputs with mix controls. These days, computer/iOS interfacing is obviously still a big deal but musicians also have tables full of little devices (Circuit, volcas, Roland Boutiques, Korg and Arturo's mono synths...) and having a keyboard that could control them all, mix them all, work as a clock master for them all... win.

I get it! Whoa, that is a huge benefit. You've made me a believer. Thanks man
