BeatHawk touch latency? iPad Pro 10.5

Is anyone experiencing touch latency with beathawk on the new iPad Pro?

When it is running, I have latency up to as long as a second, usually around 500 ms. When it is open, latency is also sluggish with all other apps.

When I quit the app, latency returns to normal.

Not seeing that on my end. What does it show in the Audio Buffer Size section?

    Ahhh!
I also have this behavior on my new 2017 iPad Pro 12.9"!

I thought for a while that my new iPad was defect...
I can see a more unstable behavior also into Affinity Photo when I compares my two 12.9' iPads (2015 model Vs 2017 model)...

Is it something with the cooling of the new iPads?
Someone on the Facebook told me that it enough to eject the headphone jacket and put it back to reset the latency thing in Beathawk 2.x...

  • Come to think of it. I experienced latency creep on one of my GarageBand projects. I kept having to close and re-open the project to reset it. Possibly there's an iOS 10 bug related to the new display tech?

Perhaps it will be fixed in the 10.3.3 update that's in beta right now.

  • No latency with BeatHawk for me on iPad Pro 10.5. But I did have this issue in several apps, when trying to play them wired into my hi-fi. The next day all was well.

    Via headphone jack?

I've had similar issues on my air2 when there was leakage in the mains power of the building.

Were you getting problems when not connected to anything ? Aka headphones only or the iPads speakers ?

    Nope, they were both fine.

  • Third party chargers can cause latency issues while connected, strangely enough.
